A new interview series highlights AirPROM’s innovative approach to airways modelling
A new series of technical videos have been launched, looking at the different areas of expertise in the AirPROM project.
The videos highlight some of the innovative ideas and techniques being used in AirPROM through interviews with a number of key people involved in the project.
AirPROM is a complex and exciting project involving 34 partner organisations from across Europe with expertise in physiology, radiology, image analysis, bioengineering, data harmonisation, security and ethics, computational modelling, systems biology, and health communication.
Four members of the project took part in video interviews, whilst attending the European Respiratory Congress 2014 to share the latest results from their work. These interviews give an introduction to:
- Imaging the lungs
- Developing 3D models
- Developing computational and mathematical models
- Managing and sharing all the data used in the project
To add to these interviews and explore additional topics, a further eight mini-interviews took place during the annual meeting of project members in 2015. These interviews look at:
- 3D airflow simulation
- statistical modelling
- thermoplasty modelling
- modelling airflow dynamics
- medical image analysis
- model validation
