European Patient Ambassador Programme welcomes new Patient Advisory Group

European Patient Ambassador Programme welcomes new Patient Advisory Group

Three years after the first patient advisory group (PAG) was set up for the European Patient Ambassador Programme (EPAP), we have welcomed new members to the PAG.

A big thank you goes out to the 14 ambassadors who have helped to drive EPAP forward in the past three years. With their support and input, we have been able to do a major review of the programme, design a new module and work on translation.

In addition to four of the initial members, who have decided to continue in their roles on the PAG, we are pleased to welcome 16 new members to the group. These new members represent a variety of countries, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, the UK, as well as Europe as a whole.

A number of these new members are outside the field of lung health, which will help give the PAG the wider scope we are trying to achieve for EPAP as a whole.

The new members will serve on the PAG for 12 months, with the option to continue in their post after this.

The first PAG meeting took place on 11 February, 2016, and sparked a range of new ideas and a lot of enthusiasm to take EPAP further into Europe and across a wide range of health conditions.
