ELF takes part in aspergillosis conference patient meeting
ELF spoke at a meeting of 30 people with experience of aspergillosis and severe asthma, which took place alongside the 7th Advances Against Aspergillosis Conference from 3-5 March.
The conference draws in many leading clinicians and scientists from around the world and took place in Manchester, UK.
Jeanette from ELF spoke about the different ways that people with a range of lung conditions can get involved in the work of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and how we raise awareness of the importance of lung health through our Healthy Lungs for Life campaign.
The Healthy Lungs for Life map showing good air quality routes for cycling and walking in Amsterdam which we produced with VITO and Longfonds at the ERS International Congress in 2015 was discussed with interest.
In January 2016 an ERS and ESCMID guideline for the management of chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA) was released. and is the first to set out all the diagnostic, surgical and medical management and monitoring steps of clinical management of CPA.
